In an interview with the Post United podcast, Keita Baldé Diao discussed several current topics, including the 2025 AFCON final won by Senegal. The Senegalese forward specifically addressed the complaints made by Morocco to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after the match.
Invited once again by Post United, just days after the final, the AC Monza player answered numerous questions from the hosts. This second appearance follows a first one in June 2025, which sparked a lot of reactions on social media. During the exchange, Keita Baldé shared his views on the actions of the Moroccan sports authorities, who criticized certain refereeing decisions after their 1-0 defeat.

For the Senegalese international, these reactions are understandable in a context of sporting frustration. “It’s normal after a defeat. It’s normal to focus on this or that situation. But if Brian had scored the penalty and they had won, would they have written to the Federation about the 10 minutes of stoppage time? I ask you. What do you think?,” he stated. Keita Baldé also believes that these complaints are mainly tied to the final result of the match. “When you lose, you look for the little details. But I think if Brahim had scored the penalty, Morocco wouldn’t have made a statement or written to the CAF regarding those 10 minutes of stoppage time,” he added.
