As the end of 2024 approaches, the suspense is building around the finalists for the prestigious African Ballon d’Or, which honors the continent’s top talents.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the 2024 CAF Awards will take place on Monday, December 16, in Marrakech, Morocco. During this much-anticipated evening, the African Player of the Year award will reveal its new winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Five finalists are in the running for this ultimate honor:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Last year, the trophy was won by Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, succeeding Senegalese forward Sadio Man\u00e9, a two-time winner in 2019 and 2022.
