The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) announced that it was heard on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, by the Disciplinary Jury of the Confederation of African Football (CAF). This comes as part of a procedure opened following the final of the Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025.

According to the statement released by the FSF, this hearing follows reports made by the match officials and the reservations expressed by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation after the final.
During this appearance, the Senegalese Federation was represented by its Secretary General, assisted legally by Master Seydou Diagne. National coach Pape Bouna Thiaw, along with players Ismaïla Sarr and Iliman Ndiaye, were also heard by the disciplinary body, where they presented their defense arguments.
At the end of the discussions, the CAF Disciplinary Jury decided to put the case in deliberation. The final decision should be communicated to the concerned parties within forty-eight (48) hours, according to the schedule set by the Jury President.
The FSF also assured that it would keep the public informed about the progress and outcome of the ongoing procedure.
