The Round of 16 of the AFCON 2023 continues this Sunday. After the match between Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Conakry, Egypt and the DR Congo will battle for a spot in the quarter-finals. Here are the official lineups for both teams.
We will be following shortly the clash between the Pharaohs of Egypt and the Leopards of the DR Congo at the Laurent Pokou Stadium in San Pedro. Highly anticipated in this AFCON 2023, the seven-time African champions will try to advance to the next round without their star Mohamed Salah, who is injured along with goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shenawy.
For this match, both coaches have fielded their best squads with the notable return of Mohamed Abou Gabal, better known as Gabaski, in the Egyptian goal. Sebastien Desabre doesn’t intend to wait for the Egyptians and starts with Cédric Bakambu, Yoane Wissa, and Meschack Elia in attack.
