Afcon 2023: The film of the very sober arrival of Cameroonians in Ivory Coast

Like several qualified selections for the Afcon 2023 scheduled from January 13 to February 11 in Ivory Coast, Cameroon set foot on Ivorian soil this Wednesday. Accompanied by Samuel Eto’o, the President of the Cameroonian Football Federation, Fecafoot, the Indomitable Lions made a fairly sober arrival with more concentrations.

At the head of the queue, the President of Fécafoot, Samuel Eto’o followed by Patrick Mboma and Rigobert Song. And just behind them, we find the captain of the Indomitable Lions, Vincent Aboubakar. They are here three days before the start of Afcon 2023.

Faced with certain Cameroon supporters present at the Airport, the Indomitable Lions, held in check on Tuesday by Zambia, remained discreet. No music, no singing as usual, they arrived very focused with one mission in mind: to do better than during Afcon 2021 at home.

When they exit the plane, the players take turns one after the other. Nathan Douala, Fabrice Ondoa, all are there too and we can see them via the video below. In any case, it’s a great moment which definitely launches this competition for the Indomitable Lions. Cameroon is in the group of death alongside the reigning African champion, Senegal, Guinea Conakry, who fell to Niger in a friendly, and Gambia, which is facing a crisis linked to bonus problems before the Afcon 2023.
