Galatasaray striker Wilfried Zaha has once again shown his generosity and solidarity with the Ivory Coast national team.
Although not selected for the 2023 CAF Africa Cup of Nations finals, the player nevertheless offered his encouragement to his team-mates.
Now he has put his words into action. During Côte d’Ivoire’s match against Senegal in the last 16 of the AFCON, Wilfried Zaha expressed his support for the Elephants.
He posted the video of Franck Kessié’s equaliser on his social networks, as well as the decisive goal that sent Côte d’Ivoire through to the quarter-finals. In the video, Zaha can be heard cheering on Kessié, saying: “Come On, Come On Franck”.
Wilfried Zaha’s gesture is a response to his critics, who have attacked him in various ways. It is his way of showing his unwavering support for the Elephants, even if he is not in the team for the African Cup of Nations.
