Recently appointed to the U17 coaching staff, Ludovic Lamine Sané addressed the delicate issue of succeeding Aliou Cissé as head of the Senegalese national team. He approaches the situation with a great deal of perspective.

Aliou Cissé's Replacement : Confirmed by the FSF, He Speaks Out !

“Honestly, I couldn’t say who could succeed Aliou Cissé. What’s certain is that it’s crucial to place our trust in the next coach and give him the necessary time to establish himself and develop his vision with the team. It’s pointless to define a rigid or ideal profile for this role; what truly matters is that the new coach has the freedom to rebuild.

Aliou Cissé spent nearly a decade at the helm of the Senegalese team, taking the time to lay solid foundations and, ultimately, secure the African Cup of Nations. That’s why the next coach should receive the same patience from the fans.”

The Senegalese people will need to be patient and allow the new coach time to prove himself, even though significant progress has already been made. “It’s not about starting from scratch, but rather building on the existing foundations, gradually adding new layers to the structure,” stated Ludovic Lamine Sané in an interview with L’Obs.
