The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed some encouraging news that will benefit both Algeria and Morocco.
Recently, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) unveiled the rankings of the twelve best-performing African club leagues for the 2023/2024 season. As expected, the North African nations stand out in this ranking, highlighting the exceptional quality of their clubs on the continental stage.
At the top of the table is Egypt, confirming its status as one of the great powers of African football. Egyptian clubs have shone in recent seasons, racking up successes and trophies at continental level.
In second place, we find Morocco with a remarkable record, having won no fewer than four continental titles between the Champions League and the Confederation Cup over the last four years. This dominance testifies to the strength and competitiveness of Moroccan clubs on the African stage.
Finally, Algeria rounded off the podium, celebrating USM Alger’s memorable victory in the CAF Cup the previous season. This success highlights the talent and hard work of Algerian clubs, who continue to fly the national flag high on the continental stage.
