CAF Awards : Nominees for the Young Player of the Year Trophy Revealed! (Official)

As every year, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is hosting its prestigious African Ballon d’Or, now known as the “CAF Awards.”

This year’s ceremony will take place on December 16 in Marrakech, just like the previous edition. While we await the announcement of the finalists for the African Player of the Year title, CAF has already revealed the list of 10 players nominated for the Young African Player of the Year award.

Among the ten nominees for this award, three players currently play in Ligue 1, including two at AS Monaco. Moroccan international Eliesse Ben Seghir, this year’s top favorite, is naturally on the list. Senegalese midfielder Lamine Camara, the reigning champion, is also featured.

The list also includes Ivorian talents like Karim Konaté and Oumar Diakité (Reims), along with Bilal El Khannouss (Morocco, Leicester).
