After the conclusion of the 5th matchday of the group stages of the African Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup, the CAF Ranking of the best clubs in Africa has undergone some adjustments. Let’s take a closer look:

Holder of the title and record holder for Champions League victories (11), the Egyptian powerhouse Al-Ahly still sits atop the Confederation of African Football’s ranking!
Behind them, however, Egyptians can feel the breath of two African giants. They are the Wydad Casablanca (2nd), finalist of the last edition, and the formidable South African side Mamelodi Sundowns, which holds the 3rd position. North African clubs dominate the CAF Ranking!
At the foot of the podium, we find two other North African teams, Esperance de Tunis (Tunisia) and Zamalek (Egypt), while Raja Casablanca (Morocco) ranks 6th.
The reigning Algerian champions, Chabab Riadhi Belouizdad, closely follow in 7th place, just ahead of the Egyptian runner-up, Pyramids FC.
