Congolese international Chancel Mbemba is being pushed towards the exit door by his current club, Olympique de Marseille.
Listed as transferable by the new coach, Italian Roberto De Zerbi, the stalwart of the “Leopards” is expected to find an offer before the end of the summer transfer window.
This marks a dramatic turnaround for the former FC Porto player, who was recently a key figure at the Marseille club.
Under contract with OM until 2025, the Kinshasa native will need a compelling offer to avoid a lean season with his French club. It’s worth noting that Mbemba has frequently been linked with Saudi clubs, who continue to pursue rare talents from the “old continent.”

During his time at the Marseille club, he has earned 4 individual accolades, including the title of African Player of the Month for February 2023, the Marc-Vivien Foé Award 2023 for the best African player in France, and the Olympian of the Month award in November 2022.
