In an interview with L’Equipe, the Gabonese international revealed that he turned down a lucrative offer to commit to the Phocéens.
“There was an opportunity. The offer came (…) This type of big paycheck is tempting, from Saudi Arabia or elsewhere, but above all, it’s the football that I have in my heart.”
It’s worth noting that during the last summer transfer window, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had received offers from Saudi clubs. Linked with the Phocéens until June 2026, the former Arsenal striker is valued at 4 million euros.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang earns a salary of 8,400,000 euros per year, equivalent to 5,460,000,000 XAF. He is having one of the best seasons of his career with a total of 27 goals and 11 assists in 46 matches across all competitions.
