Riyad Mahrez earned himself a place in the top 5 thanks to his sparkling season with Manchester City.
The Algerian striker won three trophies and finished the season with a record of 46 TCC games, scoring 15 goals and providing 13 assists.
Having arrived in Saudi Arabia this summer, he has been productive with Al Ahli. The Fennecs captain has 7 goals and 7 assists in 17 Saudi Pro League games.
As for Mohamed El Shenawy, he appeared in 43 games for 24 clean-sheets with Al Ahly in Egypt during the 2022/23 season.
The two African players face competition from Salem Al-Dawsari (Al Hilal), Karim Benzema (Al Ittihad) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Al Nasr).
Valued at 18 million euros, Riyad Mahrez earns an annual salary of 35,000,000 euros (22,750,000,000 FCFA). El Shenawy is worth 2.5 million euros.
