Piling up goal after goal, the 31-year-old has made it into Turkey’s top scorers for the 2023 calendar year. Despite periods of absence due to injury, the former FC Porto man managed to score 17 goals.
The Cameroonian striker is thus the Super Lig’s second top scorer in the calendar year. The Besiktas striker comes behind Mauro Icardi who leads the way with 30 goals.
Mame Baba Thiam (17 goals) and Mbaye Diagne (16 goals) are both Senegalese. Despite this, Besiktas decided to sideline him on the pretext of insufficient performances.
