A young dual-nationality player, a star at his European club, declares his love for the Algerian national team in an exclusive interview granted to the media outlet, La Gazette du Fennec.
Amin Chiakha, the sensation of FC Copenhagen U19 and top scorer in the UEFA Youth League, granted an exclusive interview to the Gazette du Fennec. Born in Denmark to Algerian parents, he shares his incredible season, his passion for football, and his close connection with Algeria.
Hailing from Guelma, Amin Chiakha expressed his deep attachment to the land of his ancestors, both personally and in sports: “I am originally from Guelma, where most of my Algerian family resides, and my father grew up there. I visit Guelma 1 to 2 times a year to visit my family. I have closely followed the Algerian national team and admire how people support the players.”
The young dual-nationality player thus expressed his love for his ancestral country in his own way, even designating the capital, Algiers, as his favorite city for its beauty and modernity.
As for his favorite player, Amin Chiakha openly revealed his admiration for Karim Benzema. He even believes that they share similarities in their style of play: “I have always admired the way Benzema plays, and I think we are somewhat similar in our approach to the game because we like to have the ball and drop a little deeper than the ‘normal’ striker.”
