Former Algerian international player, Khaled Lemmouchia, shared his opinion on the new coach of the Algerian national team, Vladimir Petkovic.

In an interview with “Dzair Tube” journalist regarding the visit of the Bosnian-Swiss coach to Algerian clubs, Lemmouchia expressed a positive sentiment. According to him, the presence of the national coach at training sessions to motivate players and interact with local coaches is beneficial. Lemmouchia emphasized that Petkovic, a renowned coach who previously led the Swiss national team, brings a certain credibility to the Algerian team.

However, the former ES Sétif player raised concerns about Petkovic’s lack of experience in Africa. Although the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) strengthened the technical staff with the addition of Nabil Neghiz, Lemmouchia believes that adapting to the African reality could be a challenge for Petkovic.

Nevertheless, Lemmouchia highlighted encouraging aspects observed during the recent FIFA international tournament in Algeria, where the national team faced Bolivia and South Africa. He noted that the group seemed to have regained its spirit and benefited from a new motivation.

In conclusion, the former Algerian international expressed his best wishes for Petkovic and the Algerian national team, hoping that the new coach will overcome the challenges ahead and lead the team to new successes on the international stage.
