A veteran of the Algerian national team receives some very bad news at the end of this season…
Turkish club Fatih Karagümrük, where Algerian midfielder Sofiane Feghouli plays, has been relegated from the Turkish Super Lig to the second division despite a 3-1 victory on the final day against Samsunspor. This win wasn’t enough to reverse the situation, with the club remaining in 18th place with 46 points.
The season has been tough for Feghouli and his teammates, who struggled to compete against fierce competition, resulting in a lack of positive results.
With this likely relegation, it’s expected that Algerian midfielder Sofiane Feghouli will leave Fatih Karagümrük this summer, especially since his contract expires on June 30th.
Feghouli has played 27 games in all competitions for his team this season, scoring two goals and providing one assist in 1633 minutes of play.
This drop to the second division marks a turning point for both Feghouli and Karagümrük, who will now have to face new challenges to regain their place in the Turkish football elite.
