The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) has made a radical decision by blocking a player, causing ripples in Algerian football circles. This action comes amidst controversy, yet the FAF has not disclosed specific details regarding this disciplinary action.

Yesterday, the Professional League’s disciplinary committee (under the FAF’s authority) officially sanctioned Houari Baouch, a promising player from Constantine, with a four-match ban, one of which is suspended, following his expulsion in the previous match against ES Ben Aknoun.

Additionally, the committee announced its decisions concerning the 29th round of the professional tournament. Baouch has been suspended for a total of four matches, with an effective suspension of three games, for insulting the referee during the Ben Aknoun match. He has also been fined 4 million centimes.

The committee also took action against Samer Abdel Hakim from Ittihad Khenchela and assistant coach Shardoud Mofid, each fined 10 million centimes for protesting against the referee.

Youssef Douar from Athletic Barada was similarly sanctioned for the same reason, receiving a fine of 10 million centimes personally and 4 million centimes for his club due to mismanagement during the match.

Furthermore, Haddou Rabah from JS Saoura was suspended for one match following his expulsion during the match against JS Kabylie, along with a fine of 10 million centimes.

Lastly, Mouloudia El Bayadh was fined 20 million centimes by the disciplinary committee for the absence of their head coach during the match against Mouloudia Oran.
