The Algerian national football team will play against Liberia between September 5th and 10th for the second round of qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The match will take place at the “Samuel Kanyon Doe” stadium in Monrovia, the Liberian capital. This facility, equipped with a synthetic turf, is the only one in the country approved by CAF for official international matches.
Before that, between August 16th and 18th, Mouloudia d’Alger will face Liberia’s Watanga Club at the same venue for the first leg of the CAF Champions League first round.
The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) is considering two options for the preparation of the Fennecs’ match against Liberia. The first option is to send a representative from FAF with the Mouloudia d’Alger delegation to Liberia to assess the playing field, training ground, accommodation, and other organizational aspects.
The second option is to entrust this task to Mouloudia d’Alger’s management, in coordination with club president Walid Saadi and national coach Vladimir Petković, to ensure proper match organization.
