A player from the Algerian national team doesn’t want to hear about Algeria. Indeed, that’s what his manager claims.
Officials of Entente Sportive de Sétif, current champions in Algeria, are sparing no effort to strengthen their team ahead of the upcoming African Champions League campaign. At the heart of discussions is the potential return of their former midfielder, currently on loan at Cleopatra FC in Egypt.
However, despite interest shown by several clubs in Algeria and Morocco, the player’s manager clarified the situation in a recent statement to an Egyptian TV channel. “To be honest with you, I have not received any official offers from Algeria or Morocco.
The rumors circulating about this are unfounded,” he explained. This statement aims to calm speculations regarding a potential return of Kendouci to the Algerian league or a transfer to prestigious Moroccan clubs like Wydad and Raja Casablanca.
The TV host pressed on about the player’s future, questioning the manager on Kendouci’s possibility to continue his journey at Cleopatra FC. “As far as I know, Al Ahly’s coach does not wish to keep him in the squad, despite efforts by the officials to bring him back. A return to Al Ahly seems unlikely,” the manager responded. This situation opens up several options for the player, with solid proposals coming from Spain, France, Belgium, and Turkey.
“Kendouci is a reliable asset, as evidenced by his performances both at Al Ahly and Cleopatra FC. His recent call-up to the Algerian national team for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers is further recognition of his talent,” the manager emphasized. He also indicated that a meeting with Al Ahly officials is scheduled soon to clarify the player’s contractual situation, which runs until June 2027.
“The Algerian national team player doesn’t want to play in Algeria. I have very good offers for him from Spain, France, Belgium, and Turkey. Either way, we will resolve the matter in the coming days,” affirmed his manager, putting an end to the suspense. Therefore, it’s either Europe or Egypt for Kendouci.
