Algerian international Houssem Aouar is set to leave AS Roma during the summer transfer window. The Italian club has taken steps indicating their intention to part ways with the former Olympique Lyonnais player after just one season.
AS Roma recently signed French midfielder Enzo Le Fée from Stade Rennais. This arrival signals the imminent departure of at least two midfielders from the club. According to the “Roma Forever” website, closely linked to AS Roma, this signing will hasten Aouar’s exit due to his difficult situation under manager Daniele De Rossi, who has not been convinced by his performances.
Leandro Paredes and Edoardo Bove are also expected to leave the club, having received offers from abroad. Houssem Aouar could return to Ligue 1, with OGC Nice interested in his profile. Additionally, he has attracted interest from Gulf clubs, with offers from Qatari club Al-Sadd and a Saudi club, amounting to €10 million.
The Italian press notes that it will be difficult for Aouar to stay at AS Roma due to his inconsistent performances last season. He participated in only 25 matches across all competitions, scoring just 4 goals.
