Algerian international player Ramy Bensebaini expressed his satisfaction following his team Borussia Dortmund’s victory over Paris Saint-Germain, propelling them into the final of the European Champions League.
Despite Bensebaini’s absence from the pitch due to a persistent injury since last March, his presence in the stands at Parc des Princes did not overshadow his moral contribution.
Bensebaini highlighted the difficulty of the match, praising his team’s efforts to counter the opposing game plans, particularly in limiting the attacks from Mbappé and Dembélé. He also emphasized Borussia Dortmund’s strategy, which caught Paris Saint-Germain off guard and demonstrated their strength on the field.
The prospect of the upcoming final, scheduled to be held at Wembley Stadium in London on June 1st, raises questions about Bensebaini’s participation. Although he hints that he might not be ready due to his injury, he remains optimistic about his team’s chances. For him, reaching the final is already a tremendous achievement, regardless of his presence on the field.
“I don’t know if I will be ready to play in the European Champions League final, but in any case, what we have achieved is a great success,” said Bensebaini.
Bensebaini’s contribution, even from the stands, symbolizes the unity and determination of the Borussia Dortmund team to win the coveted European Champions League title.
