After the defeat against Guinea at the Nelson Mandela Stadium, Algerians fear once again the possibility of missing out on the World Cup for a third consecutive time.
The Guinean national team defeated Algeria’s Fennecs on their home turf with a score of 2-1. A loss that particularly worries Nabil Djellit about Algeria’s chances of qualifying for the next World Cup.
“An INEFFECTIVE Algeria. Wildcard wasted. We need to rack up points and fight until the end, risking missing out on a third consecutive World Cup. It starts this Sunday in Uganda for a tough away game.
It’s time to show some character…” reacted Nabil Djellit on social media. Regarding the performance of the Guinean team, Nabil Djellit said “Congratulations to Guinea.” “They executed their game plan perfectly. And they were heroic towards the end of the match, as seen in Sow’s exceptional save.”
“We thought Algeria had hit rock bottom. They continue to dig,” comments the Algerian journalist.
