Algerian international Ramy Bensebaini is set to remain at Borussia Dortmund next season, thanks to the confidence placed in him by new coach Nuri Şahin.
Despite a challenging first season with the “Black and Yellows,” Şahin plans to include him in his plans. German press sources indicate that Bensebaini’s situation is improving under Şahin’s leadership, who has no intention of parting ways with him and views him as a key player to bolster the team.
According to “Bild,” Şahin has decided to remove Bensebaini from the list of players available for transfer during the current summer transfer window and intends to utilize him in the first team. The departure of coach Edin Terzić and the arrival of Şahin have revived Bensebaini’s hopes of reclaiming his place in the squad, especially due to his positive relationship with the new coach.
Furthermore, the exit of Dutchman Ian Maatsen, whose loan from Chelsea has ended, has worked in Bensebaini’s favor, as he was often sidelined under the previous coach.
Following a challenging season marked by a dip in form and an injury last March, Bensebaini is working on regaining his fitness and form ahead of the upcoming season.
