On Saturday night, Said Benrahma and Lyon were held to a draw by Paris Saint-Germain in the Coupe de France final (1-2).

During the first half, Lyon conceded two goals within 12 minutes, first by Ousmane Dembélé in the 22nd minute, then by Fabian Ruiz in the 34th minute. The Gones only managed to reduce the deficit in the second half with a goal from Jake O’Brien in the 55th minute.

Starting in the lineup, Said Benrahma was substituted off in the 74th minute, and it’s fair to say the Algerian international had little impact on the match. The newspaper L’Equipe gave him a catastrophic rating of 2 out of 10, the lowest rating of the game, shared with his teammate Mata.

Benrahma, on loan from West Ham, was deemed at fault for Dembélé’s opening goal, having lost his marking. Even worse, Benrahma provided nothing offensively. According to Sofascore, another specialized media outlet, Benrahma received a rating of 6.7 out of 10 (all players start the match with a rating of 6), proving that the native of Aïn Témouchent had a disappointing final. Nevertheless, it seems likely that Lyon will seek to secure his services permanently, given his good performances since his arrival in January.
