Riyad Mahrez’s agent has provided some clarity regarding his client’s future at Saudi club Al-Ahli. Recent rumors suggested that Mahrez was considering leaving Al-Ahli after just one season, with speculation swirling about a potential return to the English Premier League, particularly with Leicester City.
The Algerian captain’s agent stated that he couldn’t address these speculations, emphasizing that responding to rumors about Mahrez’s future would be endless.
The comments from Mahrez’s agent seem to indicate that reports of his departure from Al-Ahli are unfounded and that the player remains committed to the Saudi club. Mahrez’s contract with Al-Ahli runs until June 2027, following his €35 million transfer from Manchester City.
Mahrez has had a respectable season with Al-Ahli, scoring 11 goals and providing 12 assists in 30 appearances across all competitions. However, his team appears poised to finish the season without any silverware, having been eliminated from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup and currently sitting in third place in the Saudi Professional League.
