Algerian player Mohamed Amine Amoura, who plays for the Belgian club Saint-Gilloise, is currently facing the imminent threat of suspension.
Just a yellow card away from being banned, Amoura is on the edge with a crucial match against Anderlecht looming in the Champions League qualifiers. This revelation comes from Belgian site “Walfoot” in a report published last Saturday.
The forward, formerly of ES Setif, fears his name will be on the caution list in the next match against Antwerp, which would rule him out for the subsequent encounter against Anderlecht. This situation is causing concern within the Saint-Gilloise club, which is gearing up for a showdown with Antwerp this Sunday in the sixth round of playoff qualifications.
Coach Alexander Blessin hopes that Amoura will find his scoring touch in the next five matches and in the Cup final. These goals are crucial, especially as the Algerian forward can greatly contribute to Saint-Gilloise’s success without resorting to unnecessarily risky plays.
