Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is considering strengthening its defensive sector in the upcoming summer transfer window, and among the targeted players is a defender from the Algerian national team.
Paris is looking to add new options to its backline, with the primary objective being the recruitment of a new central defender, with Lille’s young talent Leny Yoro being a prime target. However, the Parisian club is also not ruling out bolstering its defensive flanks, especially the left side.
With uncertainties surrounding Nuno Mendes’ physical condition, the French champions are seriously exploring the possibilities of acquiring a new left-back. One of the potential targets is Rayan Ait-Nouri, a player from Wolverhampton, and they are considering breaking the bank to secure his services.
Ait-Nouri, who previously played in Ligue 1 with Angers SCO, has delivered remarkable performances against PSG in the past. Since his move to England, he has continued to progress, and the Parisian executives have never stopped monitoring his development.
Last season, Ait-Nouri put in an impressive individual display with Wolves in the Premier League, to the extent of being named in the season’s best XI. At just 22 years old, he still has significant room for growth and could be a valuable addition to the team led by Luis Enrique.

If the transfer materializes, Ait-Nouri would become the first Algerian international to wear the colors of PSG since Mohamed Benhamou, who was the club’s backup goalkeeper between 2003 and 2006.
