While the appeal of USMA is still under consideration at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, the management of the Algerian club has made a bold decision.

This Sunday, the leadership of the Union Sportive de la Médina d’Alger (USMA), under the presidency of Kamel Hassena, has implemented significant changes within the club. In a move that signals a new phase of transformation and restructuring, several officials have been relieved of their duties.

The management of “Soustara” has officially announced the dismissal of Mohamed Nour Islam Belalia, the general coordinator, Reda Laâdoul, the stadium manager of Omar Hamadi, and Adel Zakari, the communication manager. These decisions come after a period of reflection and in-depth discussions about the club’s future.

The crucial meeting that led to these changes took place between the CEO of the SERPORT group, Mohamed Karimdine Harakati, and Kamel Hassena, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of USMA. During this meeting, the two leaders extensively discussed the current and future challenges facing the club and agreed that changes were necessary to revitalize the team and its structures.

The exact reasons for these dismissals have not been detailed, but they appear to be related to a desire to renew the club’s leadership in order to better meet the requirements and objectives of USMA. The club, which is going through a difficult period both in terms of sports and administration, seems to be aiming to inject new momentum to regain its past glory.

The passionate supporters of USMA, who are always deeply involved in the club’s life, greet these changes with mixed feelings. While some see this decision as a necessary evolution for the good of the club, others are concerned about the short-term turbulence that these reshuffles might bring.

The management of USMA, as the verdict of the CAS regarding its case against the Moroccan club Berkane is still pending, will now have to work on rebuilding a strong and effective leadership team capable of facing the challenges ahead. The club will need coherent management and a clear vision to ensure its stability and future success.
