The future of former Algerian international Mehdi Tahrat remains uncertain, despite the apparent interest from three Algerian clubs: JS Kabylie (JSK), MC Alger (MCA), and USM Alger (USMA).

These clubs are seeking to strengthen their defense by recruiting Tahrat, an experienced player. However, according to a source close to the matter, the defender has not made a decision yet.

JSK, in particular, has made significant efforts to persuade Tahrat to join, despite recently signing Mohamed-Amine Madani from CSC. MCA and USMA are also in the running, hoping to attract Tahrat with the promise of participating in continental competitions next season. Nevertheless, uncertainty persists as Tahrat has not given his preliminary agreement to any of these clubs.

Tahrat’s hesitation is due to the uncertain situation of his current club, Troyes, who have been relegated to the National division. The club hopes to be reinstated in Ligue 2 due to financial issues affecting Bordeaux and Ajaccio, both facing relegation threats. Until the final decision by the DNCG (French football financial watchdog) is made, Tahrat prefers to wait before deciding his future. If Troyes is not reinstated, the Algerian international defender might consider continuing his career in Algeria. Meanwhile, Algerian clubs remain in limbo, hoping to secure the signature of this quality defender.
