“USMA will be suspended for 2 years by CAF,” stated the controversial journalist Mustapha Mazouzi.
“FAF will assume the historical responsibility for USMA’s elimination from the CAF Cup against RS Berkane by default. After the RS Berkane players insisted on using their jerseys with the fake Moroccan map, those jerseys were seized at the airport and replaced with others by FAF, assuming they would actually wear them for the match against USMA. This decision backfired against USMA at CAF,” Mazouzi affirmed.
“As for the sanction, it remains open. When you boycott a match, you’re suspended for two years from all African competitions. The promises from the Algerian Football Federation are just smoke and mirrors!
Before Sadi regains control of USMA, he should first show us progress in the dispute with CAF regarding the Gabonese referee who sabotaged our national team during the last CAN. I should point out there wasn’t even a written complaint, just oral. Moreover, the agenda was clear: Belmadi was to be fired, so it didn’t suit them for the referees at that time to be competent,” he added.
