Cristiano Ronaldo’s criticism of the Ballon d’Or, a look back at his statements

A surprising, even scandalous result for many soccer fans, who feel that the Real Madrid striker should have won the award. Some are even calling it a “masquerade”, citing Cristiano Ronaldo’s statements a few months ago criticizing The Best and Ballon d’Or awards.

“I know how these organizations work. To be honest, I didn’t even watch The Best ceremony last year. These awards are losing a bit of their credibility, I don’t believe in them anymore,” said Ronaldo.
