According to Albert Ayomba, a former worker at the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot), this is not the first time that the Ministry of Sports has appointed a technical staff based on existing regulations.

He was one of the guests on the “Club d’Elites” show on Vision 4, a television channel owned by Jean Pierre Amougou Belinga, this Sunday, May 12, 2024.

On this edition of “Club d’Elites” on Vision 4, the topic of discussion was the dual leadership at the helm of the Indomitable Lions. Participating in the debate, Albert Ayomba, a former legal officer at Fecafoot, explained that it was not the first time the Minister of Sports and Physical Education had appointed a technical staff in the country.

“We are not reinventing the wheel. It’s not the first time the Ministry of Sports has appointed a technical staff based on the texts that exist. Antonio Concecao and his entire staff were appointed by the sports minister when we were at Fecafoot and we had complied in a republican manner. There have been others and there was never any uproar,” commented Albert Ayomba, former legal officer of Fecafoot. He would not question an interpretation of the homily made by the cardinal for a moment.

In Albert Ayomba’s opinion, FIFA tells Fecafoot, “you have approached us and we are telling you that the legal framework to be implemented is the convention, particularly the provisions of Article 9…”, he clarified. He also believes that it is a fortunate thing for Cameroon to have Mouelle Kombi at the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education.

“In terms of legal interpretation, Cameroonian sports is fortunate to have someone at the head of the sports ministry who has, at least, the rank of Cardinal in the field of law. I would not question an interpretation of the homily made by the cardinal for a single moment,” concluded Albert Ayomba.
