Amiens SC, a Ligue 2 team, has inquired about the situation of Cameroonian goalkeeper Fabrice Ondoa with a view to a potential recruitment during the upcoming summer.

Ondoa is in need of a new destination, and it could very well be in the French Ligue 2. Arriving at Nîmes in the National 1 (3rd French division) during the summer of 2023, the 2017 African champion has never managed to establish himself. Even after the departure of Frédéric Bompard, dismissed for poor results, the Cameroonian goalkeeper still hasn’t seen any playing time.

Since his return from the CAN, he hasn’t played a single match, and the likelihood of him playing this season is very slim. Fabrice Ondoa could thus change clubs as early as next summer in France. The Cameroonian goalkeeper is reportedly on Amiens SC’s radar. According to Africafoot, the management of the Stade de la Licorne resident has contacted the agent of the Indomitable Lion.

The French second division club is looking to recruit him to replace Régis Gurtner, who is expected to leave the club at the end of the season. Discussions are still ongoing between the various parties to finalize the transfer.
