Following the match of the penultimate round of the Bundesliga at the Allianz Arena, the Munich club officially announced the striker’s departure at the end of the season. After a challenging 2023/24 season at Bayern Munich’s facilities, the Cameroonian international will pack up during the next transfer window.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Bavarian management does not intend to renew the contract of the 35-year-old veteran, whose contract is expiring in a few weeks. Evidently, he will leave this summer as a free agent. Speaking after the announcement, Choupo-Moting expressed his gratitude towards the club and the fans for their unwavering support throughout his time there. “I would like to thank FC Bayern for this wonderful and successful period. It was a dream to play for such a great club. I have always given my all for the team and our excellent supporters,” said the player.
During the current season, the former PSG player has only scored 3 goals and made 1 assist in 28 matches. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is 3 million euros.
