The situation within Cameroonian football is becoming explosive. Following the decision of the Conciliation and Arbitration Chamber of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon (CNOSC) to temporarily suspend the technical staff of the Indomitable Lions appointed by the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot).
In a statement released this Tuesday, the body announced that it has acknowledged this decision. It stated that it will adhere strictly to the CNOSC’s decision while emphasizing what it implies according to its interpretation: the total suspension of the technical staff and the head coach Marc Brys himself. Indeed, Fecafoot is pulling out all the stops and refuses to allow Brys to work with the technical staff previously appointed by the Ministry of Sports!
“The immediate consequence of these decisions, taken in violation of all legal and regulatory provisions, is the immediate suspension of the Indomitable Lions staff, headed by Mr. Marc Brys, Coach-Selector,” lamented Fecafoot, which threatens to turn to FIFA.

“Fecafoot reserves the right to transmit these decisions to FIFA, which constitute a hindrance to the preparation process for the upcoming sporting events. The Emergency Committee of Fecafoot will meet without delay to give an appropriate response to these acts,” the statement concludes.
With just over two weeks until facing Cape Verde (June 8) and then Angola (June 11) in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, Cameroon finds itself without a staff recognized by Fecafoot, and the body evidently intends to prevent Brys from preparing for these matches with a different staff.
