Cameroon: Marc Brys justifies Franck Magri’s absence

The head coach of the Indomitable Lions, Marc BRYS, has unveiled his list of 30 pre-selected players for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

A notable absence from this list is forward Franck Magri, who scored a goal in the last CAN held in Côte d’Ivoire in 2023.

Speaking on Crtv Sports, BRYS justified his decision by explaining that Magri has not been playing enough with his club, Toulouse FC, in the French Ligue 1. “It’s important that the selected players are fit and get regular playing time at their clubs,” the Belgian technician stated. “Franck Magri hasn’t played much recently, and I think he needs to regain his rhythm before he can be considered for a spot on the national team.”
