Courted by the Cameroon national team, Yann Bisseck seems to prefer an international career with Germany.
The Inter Milan defender recently expressed a clear preference for representing the Mannschaft, although he has yet to make his decision official.
Having played in the various age categories of the German national teams, the Cologne native hopes to continue his career with the senior team. “I haven’t made a final decision yet, but my priority is to play for Germany, because I played for all the youth teams there,” he declared. This inclination is reinforced by a landmark conversation with Julian Nagelsmann, coach of the German national team.
“When I heard ‘Hi, Julian Nagelsmann here’ on the phone, I felt incredible emotions. The national coach knows my name! That’s a huge thing for me, and I’m very happy about it. The fact that he took the time to contact me personally, despite all his responsibilities, is a great mark of respect that I deeply appreciate,” he added.
This testimony underlines the importance Bisseck attaches to his links with German soccer, making his decision almost self-evident.
