Samuel Eto’o, the president of the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT), has become public enemy number one for several personalities in Cameroon.
Facing a concerted campaign to destabilize him, the former Inter Milan player is squarely in the crosshairs of his critics.
In the latest developments, Morgan Sport Law, the legal firm representing the complainants, plans to appeal against the decision of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), which fined the head of Cameroonian football $200,000 (approximately 121,208,600 CFA francs) for ethical breaches related to an ambassadorial contract with a betting company.
Unsatisfied with this sanction, the complainants will file an appeal with CAF seeking Samuel Eto’o’s lifetime ban for violating principles of ethics and integrity. Samuel Eto’o remains steadfast.
Despite numerous challenges, the influential figure in Cameroonian football continues to stand firm, though he remains vulnerable to reprisals.
Having successfully installed his staff at the helm of the Cameroonian national team, the former captain of the “Indomitable Lions” continues to give a tough time to his detractors.
