Marc Brys, the new Belgian coach of Cameroon, continues to make moves behind the scenes ahead of the next international break scheduled for June.

The head of the “Indomitable Lions” seems more determined than ever to turn a new page after the debacle at the last Africa Cup of Nations. Several dual nationals have been approached, especially those playing in France, Germany, and even England, to participate in upcoming events, starting with the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

Additionally, some former players have been contacted, including ex-captain Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui.

Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui’s record with Cameroon

Ousted by former coach Rigobert Song, the star defender of Beijing Guoan hasn’t worn the “Indomitable Lions” jersey since the match against Burundi, which was part of the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

This decision was all the more inexplicable given that he was a key player in the national team’s qualification for the 2022 World Cup. He provided the crucial assist that allowed Karl Toko-Ekambi to score the decisive goal against Algeria.

In 51 matches played with Cameroon, Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui has scored 4 goals and provided 2 assists.
