Many compatriots applaud the gesture of the President of the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot) towards Marc Brys, the coach of the Indomitable Lions, this Tuesday at the Fecafoot headquarters.
After the altercation between Marc Brys and Samuel Eto’o, this Tuesday at the headquarters of the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot), many Cameroonians are showing their support for the retired player. This includes cultural figures, political figures, and media personalities.
“The mere fact that this coach tried to mock Eto’o should earn him a one-way ticket back! The myth of the White man is outdated! Ok, maybe Eto’o needs to be a bit more cunning too, but at some point, enough is enough!” comments ABK radio host Didier Kouamo. “An appointment can never compel a man to love you but it’s important that it prevents him from disrespecting you,” posts artist Kareyce Fotso. “If Eto’o’s fiery and tenacious character can help us return to basics, that would already be a win,” says politician Célestin Djamen.
According to Alice Sadio, former national president of the Progressive Forces Alliance, we should commend the strength of the President of the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot).
“On this matter, I say, Samuel Eto’o Son, respect! Since when does a head of state appoint a football coach? Unbelievable. Since I started laughing, it doesn’t stop. When a country is run like a grocery store, this is what happens. The head of state appoints the coaches. If Eto’o’s fiery and tenacious character can help us return to basics, that would already be a win. A country of mafia,” posts the politician.
