As players, we are very satisfied with your efforts, and we encourage you to persevere in this direction.” Since assuming the presidency of FECAFOOT in December 2021, Samuel Eto’o has been at the center of numerous controversies, leading to legal actions contesting his leadership. Disputes have been brought before the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne and the Court of First Instance of Mfoundi in Yaoundé. Additionally, correspondences have been sent to FIFA to denounce his actions.
The new Cameroon coach starts his job
The Ministry of Sports even decided to appoint a national team coach without his consent. The said coach has already started his activities in Cameroonian soil. Today, Belgian technician Marc Brys plans to arrive at Douala International Airport to continue his stadium visits. The coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, accompanied by his team, is en route to the economic capital.
During the broadcast of the sports news at 6:30 a.m. on Radio Equinoxe this Thursday, April 11, 2024, a collaborator of the new technical head of the Cameroonian national team clarified from Yaoundé that Marc Brys was still in the political capital. “However, he will be in Douala today as initially planned. I will inform you as soon as we land at the airport,” the source told Radio Equinoxe.
