While several photos of the President of the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot) and the Prime Minister circulated on the web, suggesting a meeting between them, it must be said that it’s a montage.

Samuel Eto’o, the President of Fecafoot, did not have a meeting with Joseph Dion Nguté, the Prime Minister, on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the Étoile building. In fact, the circulating photos date back to October 2023, during the preparations for the meeting between the former Indomitable Lions and the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

This montage was widely spread by some bloggers close to Tsinga (the headquarters of the Cameroonian Football Federation). The purpose, it is learned, is to make Cameroonians believe that the Prime Minister is mediating between Samuel Eto’o and Narcisse Mouelle Kombi for the new technical staff of the Indomitable Lions to reach a consensus between the two men. Latest reports indicate that this is not the case. It’s a crude montage.

The 61-year-old Belgian coach intends to settle in the ancestral homeland of our ancestors, particularly in Yaoundé, to better supervise talents in the Cameroonian championship. No mediation is in sight. Furthermore, the new technical staff of the Indomitable Lions has been active for a few days.

This is evident with the gathering of players for the upcoming challenge of our national team. Also, Marc Brys, who has a work contract with the State of Cameroon, a contract signed by Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, is announced to be in Cameroon in the coming days.

According to multiple sources, the 61-year-old Belgian coach intends to settle in the ancestral homeland of our ancestors, particularly in Yaoundé (the political capital), to better supervise talents in the Cameroonian championship. This is a great opportunity for local players.
