Francis Ngannou proved he is still an elite fighter in his PFL debut, two years after leaving the UFC.
The Batié native brilliantly secured his victory against Renan Ferreira, the heavyweight champion, by knocking him out in the first round. With this win, Ngannou became the new PFL heavyweight champion.
A question now arises: who will he fight next? While The Predator has opportunities in boxing, he may also choose to defend his title in MMA. Ngannou is confident that he will return to the ring, but he has not specified whether his next fight will be in MMA or boxing. “It could be either one. I don’t know yet; I don’t have influence over that, and I don’t have a decision to make.
It also depends on the promotion,” he stated. It seems he has one more fight left under his contract with PFL, for which he could earn up to $10 million. For his fight against Renan Ferreira, the Cameroonian boxer reportedly received about $2 million.
