A few weeks after his exceptional consecration at the PFL following a TKO victory over Renan Ferreira, Francis Ngannou has received some very good news in Cameroon. The Head of State, Paul Biya, has decided to immortalise the former UFC heavyweight champion.
PFL world mixed martial arts (MMA) heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has received prestigious recognition from his native country. On 18 November 2024, President Paul Biya signed an official decree elevating the Predactor to the rank of Knight of the Order of Valour. This distinction pays tribute to his exceptional career, his worldwide career and the impact he has had internationally.
A native of Batié, in the west of Cameroon, Francis Ngannou went through some major trials before reaching the pinnacle of MMA. His career is a model of perseverance, and his story is an inspiration not only to Cameroonians, but to the whole of the African continent. With this in mind, the State of Cameroon has officially decided to recognise Francis Ngannou as a Knight of the Order of Valour. It is a recognition that shows national pride in its champion.
The decree signed by the President of Cameroon states that Francis Ngannou has been a Knight of the Order of Valour, exceptionally, since 18 November 2024. This distinction makes the Predactor, who recently destroyed Renan Fereirra, an even more emblematic role model for the youth of Cameroon and Africa.
