Unlike many of his predecessors, Marc Brys, the new coach of the Indomitable Lions, has decided to take up residence in Yaoundé to work. Indeed, the Belgian technician has reportedly chosen to settle in Yaoundé for the duration of his tenure as head of the Cameroonian national team. He aims to keep an eye on local football. The 61-year-old Belgian will thus regularly follow the local championship and give opportunities to deserving players.
Appointed in a tense context between Samuel Eto’o and the Minister of Sports, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, the Belgian coach has nevertheless shown an unwavering desire to work. According to Kick 442, Brys is expected in Cameroon at the end of the week.
His extensive European tour is thus concluded. The Belgian has agreed to settle in Cameroon for the duration of his contract in order to stay focused and, above all, to pay attention to local football. This should help him familiarize himself with the country’s realities and increase his chances of success.
