The Cameroonian national team could potentially see some new faces during the upcoming gathering. However, Hugo Ekitike won’t be among them. Despite earlier speculation suggesting his inclination towards joining the Indomitable Lions and defending the green-red-yellow, the 21-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt striker will ultimately not be making the move.
According to Le Monde, the young forward still harbors a preference for the French team and currently has no intentions of representing the Indomitable Lions. The promising center-forward has turned down Marc Brys and Cameroon. “We must respect his decision,” Brys commented, as reported by the French newspaper.
