Marc Brys, the new coach of the Indomitable Lions, met with André Onana after his club’s victory over bottom-placed Sheffield United 4-2.

No rest for Marc Brys! On a European tour for the past few days, the Belgian coach also had a discussion with the Red Devils’ goalkeeper to outline his project. Following Manchester United’s victory over Sheffield United (4-2) on Wednesday, April 24th, Marc Brys engaged in a lengthy conversation with the Cameroonian international goalkeeper André Onana to explain his vision for the national team.

The Manchester United goalkeeper’s relationships with former coach Rigobert Song and Samuel Eto’o, the president of the Fecafoot, haven’t been the warmest, as evidenced during the last AFCON in Ivory Coast. However, things could change under Marc Brys.

According to sources close to the matter, the exchange between Onana and Brys was positive. The Cameroonian goalkeeper reportedly expressed his intention to return to the national team if the new coach called him up. If this promise materializes, it’s excellent news for the Indomitable Lions, who have lost one of their key players in recent months.

It’s worth noting that the Red Devil was the first Cameroonian international to “endorse” Brys after his controversial appointment.
