President of the Federation, the former Cameroonian star lost his temper during a meeting with Cameroon’s coach, Marc Brys. A bizarre situation.

The drama continues within the Cameroonian national team. An incredible video has circulated in recent hours, showing a very tense exchange between coach Marc Brys and the president of the Cameroonian Football Federation, Samuel Eto’o. A few hours after the explosive encounter between the two men, FECAFOOT released a statement accusing the coach of insults.

In the note, FECAFOOT provided its explanation for the altercation that erupted on Tuesday morning at its headquarters.

“Unacceptable behaviors prevented the holding of the planned work for the day, notably the attitude of Technical Advisor No. 2 of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education who, not invited to the proceedings, demanded from the President of the Federation the communication of the agenda of the meeting, an instruction he allegedly received from the Minister of Sports, failing which no meeting could be held. The President of FECAFOOT, after firmly reminding Mr. Tollo that he was not invited to the said meeting, the Technical Advisor No. 2 of MINSEP instructed Mr. Brys and his assistants to leave the room,” the statement reads.

Brys, for his part, allegedly added fuel to the fire by hurling insults at Eto’o, without it being clear whether FECAFOOT refers to his sarcasm when congratulating the former forward on his career as a “great player” or to more serious insults not captured on film. “The President of FECAFOOT subsequently reminded Mr. the Coach-Selector that his employer user is FECAFOOT and that he would bear the consequences of his shortcomings.

Mr. Brys, before leaving the room, launched into insults and invectives against Mr. Eto’o Fils, President of FECAFOOT, reminding him that he is the Coach-Selector and that ‘he decides’,” the statement recounts. In light of these events, FECAFOOT announced the holding of a meeting “in the shortest possible time to take necessary decisions.”

In the latest news, Samuel Eto’o’s Cameroonian Federation announced on Tuesday the suspension of Marc Brys and the appointment of Martin Ndtoungou Mpile as interim coach of the Indomitable Lions. He is assisted by David Pagou and Narcisse Tinkeu Nguimgou. This provisional staff is expected to oversee the Indomitable Lions in the next two qualifying matches, against Cape Verde on June 6 and Angola on the 11th.
