Indomitable Lions: FIFA disowns Marc Brys!

The name of coach Marc Brys has been removed from the FIFA website. Just a few hours ago, his name appeared as the coach of Cameroon. The controversy surrounding Marc Brys, the new coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, is lingering.

Just a few hours ago, the successor to Rigobert Song’s name was listed on the FIFA website. Indeed, the name of the Belgian technician jumped on the official website of the world football governing body as the coach of the Indomitable Lions in just 24 hours. After an update by FIFA on their official site, where Marc Brys could actually be seen as the coach of the Indomitable Lions, curiously, within less than 24 hours, his name has once again disappeared.

While no information has leaked to justify the reasons for this withdrawal, one can imagine that the open conflict since his appointment between the Cameroonian Football Federation and the country’s Ministry of Sports has not seen its conclusion. FECAFOOT criticizes the “unilateral” decision of the Cameroonian Ministry of Sports to hire the Belgian.

Generally, FIFA does not authorize government interference in football operations. Marc Brys will only be able to work peacefully if the storm between Samuel Eto’o and Narcisse Moelle Kombi subsides. Even though his name has been removed from the FIFA website as the national team coach, it doesn’t seem to bother Belgian Marc Brys, who continues his tour of clubs in Europe. On Wednesday, he was in England where he met André Onana, who was evidently very happy to see him.

It’s worth noting, however, that he is still not under contract with the Federation, the only authority authorized to formalize any engagement with FIFA. Yet, FECAFOOT does not want him.
